Either Direction
Many
of us are familiar with this truthful quote by Eleanor Roosevelt: “Life is what you make it. Always
has been, always will be.” I wish I
could promise all of you that your life from now on will be nothing “sunshine
and roses” (wonderful), and that nothing horrible will ever happen to you
again. If I had the power to do that, there would be many issues in my life
that would be resolved and over with.
Whatever
your challenges might be (you know many of mine through this blog), I think
it’s more important the attitude you handle with instead of the challenge
itself. In the grand scheme of life, being negative only gives you bad health,
and has the ability to alienate you from those people you need the most in
times of crisis. A positive attitude gets you through challenges with the least
emotional damage (I believe). You can get through almost anything with hope and
appreciation. This comes from being positive.
It’s important to be more positive daily (even if you are naturally
negative). Exercise this muscle in your mind until it becomes a good habit.
Through
every experience in life, I believe the heavenly Father is trying to teach us
something (or He needs to change to you). Psalm 25:12 (ERV) says: When people
choose to follow the Lord, He shows them
the best way to live. Your heavenly
Father wants to teach you something important are you willing to be His
student. You have free will to accept (or reject) God. The choice is yours.
