Endless

“No amount of guilt can change the past, and no amount of worrying can change the future. “ (Umar Ibn Al-Khattaab)

Luke 24:47 (TPT) says:  Now you must go into all the nations, and preach repentance and forgiveness of sins so that they will turn to me… This verse easily provides Christians with a responsibility to tell others about Jesus. What this verse does not provide is the urgency that some pastors might associate with it.

When a passionate speaker determines that heir subject matter is urgent (and change needs to occur in the lives of the recipients), the speaker can inadvertently and quickly start to use the tactic of guilt. The older I’ve gotten I’ve learned that only God can bring about lasting change in someone’s life. My ability to do this can result in temporary change that doesn’t help the involved individual.

If you are a consistent reader of ENCOURAGE ME, my aim in my writing is to present you with unbiased, well-rounded reading material. If change needs to happen for you, I want to be your catalyst for that, but your heavenly Father should be the one to start the modification needed (according to Him) inside you. Your life can only matter to you when it matters to Him with how you are living it.

Viktor E. Frankl had this to say about change: When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” How open are you to change if it’s crucial to your well-being. There is no guilt from me in making you aware of what needs to happen in your life. You know what it is, and I don’t. Your heavenly Father only wants the best for you. Trust His divine guidance to safely transport your life to where it needs to go.
