The Takeover

“Does our God like to be worshipped passively or exuberantly?”*When you are praising the Almighty vocally, an attitude of thanksgiving for his wonderful blessings is helpful (Psalms 105:2, 147:7). Boldly and joyfully sing to those around you even if you have to shout (Psalms 66:1, 108:3).
Adore God with a variety of instruments as you loudly tell others of His wonderful deeds. If dancing is only way you can communicate thanks to God (as you raise your hands towards Heaven) then let yourself go to places the Holy Spirit is leading you emotionally (Psalms 98:4-6, 149:3, 150:4-5, Lamentations 3:41).
Worshipping God is not to be taken lightly because it requires everything you are (good and bad).* Have the mind frame of a sacrifice. In this state, you are powerless to choose the path your life takes.
During His time on Earth, Jesus Christ was not a timid Man. He believed in action (and the element of the unexpected). Just read about Him turning water into wine (John 2:1-11), calming a storm (Matthew 8:23-27, Mark 4:35-41, Luke 8:22-25), curing a woman with bleeding issues (Matthew 9:20-22, Mark 5: 25-34, Luke 8:43-48), cleansing the temple (John 2:12-25), healing ten men with leprosy (Luke 17:11-19), and restoring a demonically-possessed girl to a normal life (Matthew 15:21-28, Mark 7:24-30).
Believe it or not, Someone wiser than you wants to take over your will. It’s God. (Will you allow this?) He can assist you with all the tough life decisions that need to be made. Do your best to please Him in word and deed. Isn’t God’s final approval what ultimately matters in the end (Romans 12:1, Colossians 3:23)? Wouldn’t you agree?
