Whether it’s the latest flavor of your
favorite sandwich cookies, the newest compact disc (CD) by your chosen artist,
the current series book is out by your much loved author, you got the dream
position you’d always desired at your place of employment, or the most
up-to-date piece of clothing, hairstyle, or furniture that you have longed for
has now become part of the total you.
The “got-to-haves” we build up in our
minds often turn out to be a large disappointment when we finally receive them.
The “desire to acquire” is often half the fun. Can you relate to any of this?
Find things that have no expiration date on enjoyment. Some things like writing
or volunteering have never lost their emotional high for the many years I have
been delighting in them. What about you? Can you think of something you could
partake in that would have a steady rate of pleasure without the peaks and
valleys of your “desire to acquire”?
Whether you are a blogger or not (see The Blogger), this is a high tech method
of journal (or a diary) use to get your feelings out. (As you can tell, I love
it.)Blogging allows me to revamp what’s on my mind until it is just right for
those I wish to share it with. Of course, who you share your blog thoughts with
is your choice. Hopefully, everything you read on this weblog meets my
directives of inspiring you and testing what you consider. It’s always a safe
bet to find your gratification in God. People may let you down, but the
Heavenly Father is as consistent as the seasons that eventually occur.
