Humiliation

Shows like Howie Mandel’s Deal with It and Wendi McLendon-Covey’s Repeat After Me (to air 2/17/15) are reality shows that find their niche in embarrassment.  Do you find pleasure in humiliating someone else? Whether it’s a piece of misinformation or an innocent prank, the results put you into fits of laughter. Why?
How do you react when the tables are turned on you? Does the above cause anger or merriment? Are you good natured about this kind of thing or a sore looser? Do your practical jokes ever endanger someone’s life? Have your tricks (with no treat) ever lost you friends? Wouldn’t you agree these are great questions to think about?

As I’ve often stated in many other posts, start the habit of encouragement. It may not make you laugh, but it will definitely put a smile on your face, and a good feeling in your heart. When are gone from this earth, how do you want people to remember you? Would you prefer your name to be associated “horrible jokester” or “difference maker?” It is just that simple. Life is full of choices. How will you decide?
