Doubting Faith

A working definition of faith is given in Hebrews 11:1-2 of The Message. “The fundamental fact of existence is that this trust in God…is the firm foundation under everything that makes life worth living. It’s our handle on what we can’t see.” Maybe this topic sounds familiar to you. I covered it in my blog post His Choice in reference to praying for God’s healing touch to the sick.
Because of your life circumstances has your faith in God diminished (or evaporated entirely)?  There are a couple of things to keep in mind. God thinks and reacts differently than you do (Isaiah 55:8).
The Almighty does not answer to you for His choices in your life. The undeniable truth is the Father does as He will whether it agrees with your schedule or not (Psalm 135:6, 115:3). You have no idea what is the Almighty is thinking of doing when it appears silence is the norm (I Corinthians 2:11).
The best way to boost your faith back to a vibrant existence is think back to all the times your Heavenly Father came to your rescue. If He did it in the past, God will continue to do so in the future (Hebrews 1:12).
