Shows like Food Network’s Mystery Diners and Restaurant Stakeout both taken advantage of the use of hidden
cameras in a restaurant setting so the manager can detect problem employees
that are costing the facility big dollars.
Have you ever wished human beings had a
video recording feature built into our body that was always on? (It would not
be for the aspect of voyeurism). I was thinking more for the use of a problem
solver in a disagreement.
You’ve had an argument with someone.
You are both firm in the correctness of your positions. The longer the two of
you argue; details become less clear. You are determined not to be the first
one to give in. Wouldn’t verification of the innocent bystander bring the whole
thing to a peaceful conclusion?
You’ve lost your car keys (glasses, or
cell phone-you choose) many times in the past. Retracing your steps this time
does not produce them. If you don’t leave now for work, you will be late. Footage
of the key’s location would definitely be of value to you right about now.
You can’t remember if you took your
medication this morning. Turn on your built-in body cam, and refresh your
memory as to whether you took your pills or not.
I’m not sure if something like this
exists already or not. It is important to remember that you are an imperfect human;
a you can only do what you can do. Is mentally berating yourself for your
forgetfulness productive in the long run? You need to come to your own
conclusion.
