Check Out Time, Please

It’s getting more difficult to remember a time when Bobbi and I weren’t a couple. What is vividly clear in my mind is our differences when it comes to grocery shopping. Usually, we have two different grocery stores we like to get the majority of our household food items from.
Bobbi’s grocery shopping usually takes double the time mine does. Label names are checked as well as the per ounce unit price the store provides on each product. She also looks to see which is cheaper the name brand or non-name brand. Luxury food items are rarely purchased. The needs of the whole family are considered. Bobbi just knows what the family needs even if it’s not on the list that’s taken to the store. Compare it to my shopping method.

When it comes to shopping I try to stick to a list. It usually takes me about an hour. When it comes to sugary treats, everything goes. I’m big on buying double bread, butter, and eggs since things like this in our homes go rather quickly. I buy the cheapest item without comparing anything. I am becoming more fluent on being aware of what our house needs.  God is good to give such a competent spouse when it comes to keeping our family happy and well fed.
