“Curiosity about life in all of its aspects, I think, is still the secret of great creative people.” (Leo Burnett)
When I was a teenager,
I used to wonder why some people struggled communicating as well verbally (or
in writing) as I could. Why were they unable to even draw a realistic picture like I could so
easily. It just didn’t make any sense in my
mind. You just did this and that, and
out came the desired talent (or ability) well. It was just that simple. If I
could do this, everyone else should be able too. (Even siblings within the same
family have different talents.)
The older I’ve
gotten I’ve come to realize that not everyone knows how to do the same this and
that at the proficient level that comes to me as naturally as breathing. Nor do
they enjoy trying (and failing) at what I am gifted in. I admire others who can talents like play an
instrument well, are a professional actor, or have a strong desire to care for
the ill in a caring manner. None of the above abilities are me. This is what I
can do. I can take my strengths, and serve my heavenly Father to my absolute
best as long as I live on the Earth.
Do you realize
that your heavenly Father made you just the way you are today with all your
strengths and weaknesses. There was not mistake made by Him (on anything about
you).Psalm 139:14 (VOICE): I will offer You
my grateful heart for I am Your unique creation
filled with wonder and awe. You have
approached even the smallest details with excellence. Your works are wonderful. I carry this knowledge deep within
my soul. Whether you
believe it (or not), God has always loved you, and will continue that until He
sees you in Heaven one day.
Romans 5:8 (VOICE) says this: But think about this: while
we were wasting our lives in sin, God revealed His powerful love to us in a tangible display. [Jesus Christ] died for us. I don’t think it’s possible to show a more
sincere sign of love than that. Take just a moment, and thank God for all the
unique assets He has gifted you with.
