Time Machines

“We all have our time machines. Don't we? Those that take us back are memories...And those that carry us forward are dreams.” (Jeremy Irons)

God gives all living human beings a gift in life to do with as we please (no matter our social status, income level, or religious beliefs). It is 24 hours, 1,440 minutes, and 86, 400 all in one day. It seems like when we’re happy, busy, or content “time flies by.”   The exact opposite is true when we are anxious, bored, or unhappy. Time then seems to “drag on” forever.

Is the following statement actually true? “I’m just too busy. I don’t have time to do that.” For people like this, I give this quote by LivePurposefully.com: We all make time for what we feel is important in our lives.”  It is true that what needs to get done in your life will get done (if you make it a priority).

We all find ourselves wasting too much time either watching TV, or playing games on our phone, or spending time on Facebook (or some other social media platform). Could the time spent doing some these activities for hours on end be better spent doing something else more productive? (Of course, this is the way some individuals unwind down after a busy day. Do you?)

Your heavenly Father has your life planned out in its entirety just as He wants it to happen. Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 (TLB) says this: There is a right time for everything. A time to be born [and] a time to die…” When you give your life over entirely to God’s will, it takes a great deal of trust on your part. Psalm 56:3-4 (VOICE) says: When struck by fear, I let go, depending securely upon You alone. In God—whose word I praise—in God I place my trust. I shall not let fear come in, for what can measly men do to me?” Can you do that with the time you have remaining (for the rest of your life)?
