“Judge a man by his questions rather than his answers.” (Voltaire)
For those of you who have been members of ENCOURAGE ME for some time, it probably won’t surprise you that I was an inquisitive child. My mother repeatedly tells me vacations with me were a test of her patience. When there was a tour guide, and the question was asked at the end of the tour “are there any questions,” Mom knew me well, and was aware of the many questions I was about to reign down on that unsuspected tour guide, who had no idea what was about to hit them.
The tradition has continued into my adulthood. My spouse was admit that I am that irritating person that will ask a barrage of questions during a new movie or TV show that she has no idea what it’s about. Somehow, I expect Bobbi to magically have the answers to all my questions. You might wonder why I am a proponent of so many questions on this blog. It’s fun for me to see how creative I can get with them. My blog community expects them. My hope is that my questions will help you come up with your own answers as you consider how the questions (and topic of the day) apply to you. I am a man of complex questions. (I rarely have all the answers.)
I don’t believe God minds our questions because it shows we are seeking for His answer. When our heavenly Father does provide us with the answers of “yes, no maybe (later), or silence” to our question, we have to understand this is His way of giving us the answer we are requesting of the Almighty.
Though
it may seem your heavenly Father is distant from your pleas for help, the truth
of Proverbs 8:17 (TPT) is always true: I will show my love to those who passionately love me for
they will search and search continually until they find me. Are
you asking the right questions, and listening carefully for divine answers?
