Deserve

“Forgive others, not because they deserve forgiveness, but because you deserve peace..” (Jonathan Lockwood Huie)

Peace doesn’t focus on the absence of trouble. It is unrelated to our circumstances. It is not touched by what happens on the outside. Finding daily peace isn’t a simple task. Any look at the success of those around you can lure your soul into a never-ending longing for the possessions in life that you don’t have. It is crucial more than ever that you allow the peace of Christ to rule over your heart.

God commands you to seek peace. You should make every effort to do what leads to peace. It is vital to know the truth of Jesus when it comes to our relationship with Him. When we approach God’s Word, we must learn to focus on what we read, and develop a trained eye to know its importance in experiencing our Heavenly Father in more significant ways. Instead of discontentment, allow the peace of Christ to rule your heart.

Don’t buy into the notion that an afternoon of solitude will give you peace. Peace is not a serene setting. Anything (or anyone) who promises you peace is not being authentic with you. True and lasting soul-level peace is found only in Jesus Christ, the source of all peace.

When we put our problems in God's hands, He puts His peace in our hearts.” (Anonymous)

Jesus can provide peace with God the Father because He is a member of the trinity of God.  He’s the Creator and Sustainer of all life on Earth. Jesus is over every church in the world. Jesus sacrifice for us makes us forever indebted to Him. Jesus can provide peace with by us simply believing that salvation to Heaven is only available through Thorough Him.

“Christ alone can bring lasting peace: peace with God , peace among men and nations, and peace within our hearts.” (Billy Graham)[i]
