Fallen

“Friends are those who will pick you up when no one else has even noticed you have fallen.” (LoveThisPic)

Has there ever been a man or woman in your life that has been there through all the good times and bad ones too? Name that person in your mind right now. They’ve been faithful. If you consider all that makes up your world, Jesus has been more than faithful. Are you grateful for the times He’s been there when you really needed a friend?

Do the edited lyrics to the song, “After All This Time” by The Talleys, express your absolute devotion to your Savior for His faithfulness?  What one emotion feels your heart as you read these words?

After all this time, I'm nothing but grateful
At every turn I find
He's been good, He's been kind,
He's been nothing but faithful
Faithful after all this time.

I didn't know much, but I knew enough to know
I needed the grace that Jesus gives
He saved my soul all those years ago
And still my story is. . .

Chorus
After all this time, I'm nothing but grateful
At every turn I find
He's been good, He's been kind,
He's been nothing but faithful
Faithful after all this time.

There are gonna be days when the goodness of Lord
Is like a summer rain coming down.
I'll give Him praise for the mercy as it pours
Like showers of blessings all around

But there's gonna be days when trouble's at the door
And it's looking like it's come to stay
But I'm gonna get through by the power of the Lord,
And looking back, I'll say. . .

How can you become a faithful friend that is there for others (like you hope they will be there for you)? Check out the statements below, and see if they apply to you as a friend. If not, how can they become true of you (as soon as possible)?

3.     Do all you can when help is needed.

4.     Don’t give up on them during the hard times in their life (and mean it).

5.     Make them feel wanted.

6.    Understand and respect their boundaries (all the time).

7.     Be honest and give constructive criticism (when its needed the most).

8.     Introduce them to others.
