Her Secrets

1.  1.  You made [your mother] cry a lot.

2.  [Your mother] wanted that last piece of pie.


3.  [Motherhood] hurts.

4.  [Your mother] was always afraid.


5.  [Your mother] knows she’s not perfect.

6.  [Your mother] watched you as you slept.


7.  [Your mother] carried you a lot longer than nine months.

8.  It broke [your mother’s] heart every time you cried.
