Are You Jesus?

If you’ve asked Jesus to be your personal Savior and your only way to Heaven (see Salvation by the Book), how does the Imperial’s song below, You’re the Only Jesus, affect you? (I never include the entire song in a post. This is the exception.) Please read the words slowly (and carefully) for me.

VERSE 1
If not in you, I wonder where
will they ever see the One who really cares?
If not from you, how will they find
There's One who heals the broken heart,
and gives sight to the blind?

CHORUS
You're the only Jesus
some will ever see
And you're the only words of life,
some will ever read
So let them see in you
the One in whom
is all they'll ever need
'Cause you're the only Jesus,
some will ever see

VERSE 2
And if not you, I wonder who,
will show them love,
and love alone can make things new?
If not from you, how will they learn
There's one who'll trade their hopelessness
and give joy in return?

CHORUS

BRIDGE
So let Him shine, let Him show
Let them see Him in you,
we've gotta let them know

CHORUS

TAG
'Cause you're the only Jesus

(you're the only Jesus)
You're the only Jesus,
some will ever see!

If you are hoping to get your life all straightened out before you come to God, He wants you to come to Him now just as you are with all your imperfections (Isaiah 6:8). As the song above expresses, some people will never read a Bible, pray, or enter the doors of a church. It is a sobering thought to realize the only Jesus may ever see is in how you live your life around them.

Have you ever realized that your burden to help someone could be the answer to their prayers? Nothing provides greater satisfaction in life than to know you are useful to the Heavenly Father.

It is always important that we strive to meet the needs of other believers or those in the local church we attend (Galatians 6:10). Look for opportunities. No matter how little or big the needs is; we all need to do our unique rolls for the body of Christ to run smoothly in communicating Jesus love to everyone (I Corinthians 12:14-26).

Part of the Great Commission in Matthew 28:20 supplies an importance reminder to anyone who wishes to accept (and believe) it. “Remember that I am always with you until the end of time.” That’s a divine bargain no one can pass up.
