Marriage  is…
1.   God’s idea (Genesis 2:18-24).

2.   A commitment to be successful (Genesis 24:58-60).

3.   To be romantic (Song of Solomon 4:9-10).

4.   Full of great joy at times (Jeremiah 33:10-11).

5.   A desirable environment for raising children (Malachi 2:14-15).

6.   Broken with unfaithfulness in regards to trust (Matthew 5:32).

7.   Permanent (Matthew 19:6).

8.   (Ideally) only dissolved by death (Romans 7:2-3).

9.   Based on love, and not feelings (Ephesians 5:21-33).

10.         A living symbol of Christ and His church (Ephesians 5:23-32).

11.         Good and honorable (Hebrews 13:4).
