“What’s
one thing you could do that would make you fully alive? What’s stopping you
from doing it now?”* Ever since I was a
young man, the ability has always been within me to be an accomplished soloist.
My wife may be the only one to know of my desire to be a chosen contestant to
compete on the vocal talent show, The
Voice, on NBC.
Several things have prevented me from doing
this. For all practical purposes, I don’t read music. Emotionally, I would be
crushed if I wasn’t chosen. I don’t care to compete when it comes to my singing
abilities. At this point in my life, I am more concerned with doing well as a
writer than a vocalist. I may have that “what if” question in my head for the
rest of my life.
If you have something in your life you
are passionate about that could become a career (you’d love), please pursue
that. How will you know what’s positive for you unless you experience it. The
only thing that can hold you back is your own fears. Kick those to the curb
with the rest of the trash that’s hindering you in your life.

Your Mind by Marc Chernoff (www.marcandangel.com)
