“How do
you stand with conviction in your world? Where does your courage come from when
faced with difficulties?”* For some people morals can make a person a religious
prude. They can also be an irritating interference to achieving what they want
to in life. (These individuals are a great deal like leaves being blown all
about in the wind with their rapidly changing convictions.)
Others consider their morals to be the
backbone of who they are. Their convictions determine every choice they make in
life (from clothing to their interaction with others).
When the worst happens to them, there is no
question about how they will react to that tumultuous situation as their morality
choice has already been pre-determined and firmly established. (Without
beliefs, one can exceed or inch closer to a “the danger line” where they don’t
want to go mentally or physically.)
I Peter 1:7 (MSG) says, “Pure gold in the fire comes out of it proved pure; genuine faith put
through this suffering comes out proved genuine.” I truly believe God can
use any experience in our life (positive or painful) to lead others to Himself,
and to help us to establish convictions that are an accurate reflection of the
spiritual beings that we are.
At this moment, become the individual you
know that you need to be. Your convictions are of great importance to the
Almighty. (Believe it.). Your morals can make you a person that can be trusted
when you are alone. (That’s called “character.”)
Are you the godly person others come to when
the need guidance or solace (from the Heavenly Father)? Many of us have heard
this quote (which is accurate) that goes something like this, “If you don’t
believe in something; you’ll fall for anything.” (Convictions of some kind can
be a positive thing.) May God bless you as you come to terms with what “the
real you” believes.
