12/28/09 CaringBook Page

The snow the weatherman promised has arrived. We even had to get Allena up early to shovel a small path out in the backyard for the dogs to do their business. I assume I must have been relaxed during my Sunday morning MRI. I found myself snoring several times during the noise, shaking, and confinement (reminded me a lot of some evil fair ride). I’ll find the results out Tuesday at my doctor’s appointment before being admitted.
While I was in having my MRI, Bobbi was proof reading part one of my religious science fiction manuscript I wrote some time ago called Unconditionally Yours (Renamed Accept Me As I Am). She dislikes the time travel aspect of the main character, Danny Philman, going back to Bethlehem. Her opinion is that Danny is too much like me, and who wants to read that. I told her thanks for opinion. I could make changes, but I wasn’t going to. This didn’t make my wife happy with me.
After the MRI, we went to Target to take advantage of some of the after-Christmas sales. We rewatched two films we purchased off our TV, Julia and Julie and Night at the Museum 2. Bobbi and Allena played one of Allena’s new games (Scrabble Upwords) while I napped.
Bobbi has been taking an antibiotic for her teeth, but had to stop because a side effect of the medicine was causing her to itch all over her body.  I wanted to tell you all about something I did on December 5, 2009 as a “what if” measure for Bobbi and Allena. (They don’t know about it yet.) I have five letters under a folder on our computer marked”letters”.  One is for Bobbi. Four are for Allena during crucial times in her life so she will feel I’m still with her somehow. Those times are her 16th birthday, high school graduation, her wedding day, and the birth of her first child (my first grandbaby). I have promised both of them (if I can) I will let them know I am OK in Heaven.
I have been watching TV today and last night Biblical Mysteries Explained (BME) on the Science Channel. The two shows I am watching attempt to explain Moses (Exodus and the plagues) and Sodom and Gomorrah (an asteroid) with scientifical information and archeological findings. Whether science backs up the Bible or not, I still believe. Chat later. If you live in Columbus, Ohio, enjoy the snow.
I love the book I am reading at Voicecorps (radio for the blind). The Secret Blend by Stan Toler deals with the riches of strong friendships. I got through part of chapter one. I was about eighteen minutes short of my required 57 minute reading when the COTA Mainstream got there to pick me up. I will continue reading it next week. When I got home, I kissed my daughter one the cheek, ate a lunchmeat sandwich with cheese for lunch, finished the Sodom and Gomorrah BME, and took a long nap as I was wiped out. I almost missed my last blood draw at LabCorp before chemo tomorrow. If you live in Gahanna, OH, enjoy the snow. Chat later.
