Church by Choice

A good part of my life was spent attending church at Fellowship Baptist Church in Columbus, OH. Why some people may find membership in this exclusive club quite a burden they would be wrong. My parents knew what they were doing when my family of five became connected with the late Dr. Bill Dinoff and his wife Jean and their two children, Rick and Lori.
I accredit my religious belief system and the man I am (in general) today to what I was taught (and learned) in this house of worship. For parents that have the opinion that they will not take their kids to church while they are young and formative. One day you will allow them to decide on their own about their belief system in God. I highly discourage this. Without a belief system for your children to absorb (like s sponge), how will they have anything to compare it against when they get to the age that they need to make crucial decisions about their religious beliefs.

Besides the importance of being grounded in a fundamental, independent Baptist church, it was a lot of fun. I have fond memories of summer camp, the annual Christmas pageant, singing solos, an active youth department that included things like sleepovers, harvest parties (Christian alternative to Halloween parties), and scavenger hunts. Personally, I think putting your children in church makes for a better rounded person personality-wise (than the opposite being true). I hope you will make church a choice. The benefits are more advantageous than you could ever fathom.
