Call Me

Prayer can come in many different forms. It can be the babblings of a long-held childhood tradition, a desperate plea from a desperate soul, or a chat with a good friend.  Which category best fits you? In recent years, I confess my prayer life has been infrequent and poor at times. My prayers come out when somebody I care for deeply (including myself) needs a big miracle. In cases other than that, praying is left to the professionals (pastors or those I perceive as being extremely spiritual). How about you?
The Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:8-13) is among one of the most well-known passages in the Bible on this topic. Chances are almost everyone alive today knows some part of this important prayer. To make the Lord’s Prayer more effective in your life, you should not doubt the One to whom you are praying to (James 4: 3). Prayer should be an exercise in meaningful communication to God not meaningless repetitive words  out of an ineffective, tired routine of prayer (Matthew 6:7).
Like any other pursuit in life, you will get out of prayer what you put into it. A lack of time is determined by your priorities. It stands to reason that whatever you value most in life usually get’s your undivided attention. Who falls in first place in your life’s list of enormous challenges?
The tile of this article implies contacting someone. Who do you go to with life’s joys and challenges? Humans may let you down. Guess who is always consistent, loving, and present? Think about it. The right answer is just on the tip of your tongue.

If you are searching for help in finding tools to assist in a better prayer life, may I suggest The Power of a Praying… series by Stormie Omartian? I am confident this series can aid you in being more successful with this powerful gift sent straight from Heaven right to you. Ultimately, the choice of involvement is yours.  Prayer is within your grasp. Go for the gold.
