God Listens

"When we pray for others, God listens to you and blesses them. So when you are safe and happy, remember that someone is praying for you." (http://shareinspirequotes.blogspot.com/)

·       When God’s people take the time out of their busy schedule to pray, His power is unleashed. (We always find time for what is important to us.)

·       It’s important for Christians to connect with unsaved individuals.

·       Most people believe in engaging in the mission of sharing God with others, but the business of life can prevent that action from happening.

Below are five practical ways to pray for the harvest:

1.     Pray for harvest workers.

So ask the Lord of the harvest to send workers out into his harvest field. (Matthew 9:38, New International Reader's Version)

Set the alarm on your smartphone to 938am daily to remind you to pray for this. When you are praying for other to be sent out, you are also praying for yourself to go.

2.    Prayer walking.

Here is what we can be sure of when we come to God in prayer. If we ask anything in keeping with what he wants, he hears us.  If we know that God hears what we ask for, we know that we have it. (1 John 5:14-15, New International Reader's Version)

This can be done walking your neighborhood, or at work.  It helps do this with another believer. Look for clues where you are located to help you specifically pray for the individual.

3.    Pray 3x5.

That’s why we have not stopped praying for you. We have been praying for you since the day we heard about you. We keep asking God to fill you with the knowledge of what he wants. We pray he will give you the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives. (Colossians 1:9, New International Reader's Version)

On a 3x5 card, write down the name of five people that need Jesus’ salvation. Pray for those five people for a total of five minutes for five days a week.

4.    Pray scripture.

First, I want you to pray for all people. Ask God to help and bless them. Give thanks for them.  Pray for kings. Pray for everyone who is in authority. Pray that we can live peaceful and quiet lives. And pray that we will be godly and holy. (1 Timothy 2:1-2, New International Reader's Version)

God loves it when you do this because it is in line with His will. Read the passage you will pray multiple times, and then personalize it with someone’s name (if you wish).

5.    Prayer warfare.

Our fight is not against human beings. It is against the rulers, the authorities and the powers of this dark world. It is against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly world. (Ephesians 6:12, New International Reader's Version)

“There is a hedge of protection around you that the enemy cannot cross. And what is meant for your harm, God said He would use to your advantage.” (Spiritual Inspiration)[i]
