His Purpose

“God made certain people part of your life because He knew His purpose for your lives will be achieved through your bond.” (Unarine Ramaru)
When Jesus went back to Galilee, the people welcomed him. Everyone was waiting for him. A man named Jairus came to him. He was a leader of the synagogue. He had only one daughter. She was twelve years old, and she was dying. So Jairus bowed down at the feet of Jesus and begged him to come to his house.
While Jesus was going to Jairus’ house, the people crowded all around him.
While Jesus was still speaking, someone came from the house of the synagogue leader and said, “Your daughter has died. Don’t bother the Teacher anymore.”
Jesus heard this and said to Jairus “Don’t be afraid. Just believe and your daughter will be well.”
Jesus went to the house. He let only Peter, John, James, and the girl’s father and mother go inside with him.  Everyone was crying and feeling sad because the girl was dead. But Jesus said, “Don’t cry. She is not dead. She is only sleeping.”
The people laughed at him, because they knew that the girl was dead. But Jesus held her hand and called to her, “Little girl, stand up.” Her spirit came back into her, and she stood up immediately. Jesus said, “Give her something to eat.” The girl’s parents were amazed. He told them not to tell anyone about what happened. (Luke 8:40-42, 49-56, ERV)
As in the above story, Jesus was called when all hope was gone. Once Jesus stepped into the picture the unchangeable became changeable.  Hope was restored to grieving parents. Today, God has the ability to change your family, and heal emotional scars that were past being healed. Looking at a challenge from Jesus’ perspective can make all the difference in the world.

The Lord said to Moses, “Say to the religious leaders, the sons of Aaron, ‘No one should make himself unclean for a dead person among his people, except for his own family, his mother, father, son, daughter and brother, or his young sister who is near to him because she has had no husband. For her he may make himself unclean. (Leviticus 21:1-3, NLV) By Jesus touching this girl’s lifeless hand, He was communicating, “You are my daughter.”

Don’t fear for your family because Your heavenly Father already has them in His capable hands. We need to realize our family needs Jesus more than we do.

Being a follower of Jesus means we have two families: a biological one and a faith one. As a family member, Jesus will provide what our family’s need (better than we can).

The outcomes of our family’s lives are ultimately in Jesus’ hands.

“When we think of our family, our spouse, parents, or children, let us see them as a gift from God.” (Dillon Burroughs)[i]
