For many individuals to consider their unique new life after death is a confusing concept. Many individuals are uncertain as how much control they have over arriving in Heaven after they die. Consider that you’ll live 60, 80, or maybe 100 years on Earth. You’ll spend countless years in eternity.

Your Heavenly Father wants you to have amazing eternal life with Him when you one day pass from this world to the next. There are three important concepts that everyone needs to know on the subject of eternity:

1.   Jesus went to the cross to pre-pay the price of your salvation so that your reservation in Heaven is secure.

27 My sheep respond as they hear My voice; I know them intimately, and they follow Me. 28 I give them a life that is unceasing, and death will not have the last word. Nothing or no one can steal them from My hand. 29 My Father has given the flock to Me, and He is superior to all beings and things. No one is powerful enough to snatch the flock from My Father’s hand.  (John 10:27-29, VOICE)

“We can have hope because God has secured our future.” (Rick Warren)

2.   The Holy Spirit lives in us to forever remind us that our reservation in Heaven is guaranteed.

I am sure that the good work God began in you will continue until he completes it on the day when Jesus Christ comes again. (Philippians 1:6, ERV)

“For death is no more than a turning of us over from time to eternity” (William Penn)

3.   The power of the risen Lord Jesus is protecting until you reach your inheritance.

39 There is no power above us or beneath us—no power that could ever be found in the universe that can distance us from God’s passionate love, which is lavished upon us through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One (Romans 8:39, TPT)

“What we do now echoes in eternity.”  (Marcus Aurelius)

“Look at everything through the lens of eternity. If you will do this, life will take on a different perspective.” (James E. Faust) [i]
