Movement

“God is constantly on the move. I cannot stay where I am and follow God at the same time. Responding requires movement.”  (Margaret Feinberg, author of Hungry for God: Hearing God's Voice in the Ordinary and the Everyday)

The song, "God is on the Move,” by 7eventh Time Down both excites me and scares me all at the same time. I am thrilled that my Heavenly Father has use for me in reaching others in His plans for His Kingdom.

What frightens me is that I have no control over the strategy the Almighty will use in getting me in position to be a part of His will that is unknown to me currently. Whatever the situation; The Almighty is in control.

Whenever I mentally picture this song, God looks a lot like the white-haired Moses in His Hebrew clothing and sandals (played by Charleton Heston in The Ten Commandments) He's walking at a quick pace to make things happen in the lives of His Children.
God is aware of what’s going on in your world.  He's weaving the tapestry of your days to give richness and texture and color to your life.  Nothing can come into the life of a Child of God that is not filtered by the Heavenly Father.
Read the abridged lyrics of the song, "God is on the Move,”

What kind of reactions do you to it in regards to service to your Heavenly Father? Life is not a series of random, meaningless, unplanned mishaps.   Take some time to think about meaning behind the words of this song:

Anytime a heart turns from darkness to light
Anytime temptation comes and someone stands to fight
Anytime somebody lives to serve and not be served
I know, I know, I know, I know

God is on the move, on the move
Hallelujah
God is on the move
On the move today

Anytime in weakness someone falls upon their knees
Or dares to speak the truth that sets men free
Anytime the choice is made to stand upon the Word
I know, I know, I know, I know

God is on the move, on the move
Hallelujah
God is on the move
In many mighty ways

I see a generation
Standing on the truth
In each and every nation
God is on the move

Anytime the gospel stirs a searching soul
And someone says, "Send me, here I go"
I know, I know, I know, I know

God is on the move, on the move
Hallelujah
God is on the move
In many mighty ways

I see a generation
Standing on the truth
In each and every nation
God is on the move

Don't misunderstand not everything that happens in your life is God's perfect will.  If you go out and sin, that's not God's will.  God does not cause evil, and He does not cause suffering.  The Almighty permits bad stuff in our lives, and He uses it.  God loves to turn crucifixions into resurrections.

The things you wish were most removed from your life are often the very things that God is using to shape you and make you into the believer of character He wants you to be.  He wants to use that problem for good in your life.

Our response is to look past the pain. "So we have no reason to despair. Despite the fact that our outer humanity is falling apart and decaying, our inner humanity is breathing in new life every day. You see, the short-lived pains of this life are creating for us an eternal glory that does not compare to anything we know here.(2 Corinthians 4:16-17, VOICE)
