“I don’t say everything, but I paint
everything.” That is a quote straight from the father of cubism, Pablo Picasso.
This French resident was a famous Spanish painter and sculptor.
What are you passionate about in your life?
What talent do have in your life that “refuels, rejuvenates, and refreshes”
your spirit (as I saw recently on a beverage vending machine)? You wish (that
whatever the skill) it could be done all the time (even if you never got paid
for it).
What follows below are several scriptural
principals that can provide guidance in the pursuit of your ambitions. Are
these all true for you? Can you make them a reality (in your life)?
1. If you put God first, He will provide you with
the
desire of your heart (or what brings you to “fully alive” status). He alone knows
where your true talent lies.
“Find your delight in the Lord. Then he will give you everything
your heart really wants.” (Psalm 37:4, NIRV)
2. The Almighty wants you to use your gifts to
help those in need (or less fortunate than you).
“God has shown you His grace in many different
ways. So be good servants and use whatever gift He has given you in a way that
will best serve each other.” (1 Peter
4:10, ERV)
“I showed you in all things that you should work
as I did and help the weak. I taught you to remember the words of Jesus. He
said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’” (Acts 20:35, ICB)
3. The Heavenly Father wants
you to live a full life using every talent (and ability) He has blessed you
with. Trust His plan even when it seems to make no sense where you are at right
now in your existence.
“God planned for
us to do good things and to live as he has always wanted us to live. That’s why
he sent Christ to make us what we are.” (Ephesians 2:10,
CEV)
