Take
just a minute to close your eyes, and think of the females that are (or have
been) positively prominent in your life. The list may include a mother, a
favorite aunt, a grandmother, a teacher, or even a sister. My list is not
exhaustive by any means. Who needs to be added to your own personal list?
Remember,
love does not see social standing, ethnicity, or job class. When affection for
someone is strong, any differences seem to just fade away. The insignificant
stuff really doesn’t seem to be that important any more.
Whether
your important lady attends your church, lives a long distance away, or has
already gone to be with the Lord, do me a favor right now. Whether it’s in
person, by cell phone, text, e-mail, in your mind, or at a tombstone, take the
time today to make your gratitude known.
Thankfulness
for others makes you a happier and healthier person. Remember Proverbs 17:22 (MSG) says, “A cheerful disposition is good for your
health; gloom and doom leave you bone-tired.”
