Doesn’t

“If it doesn’t challenge you it doesn’t change you.” (Fred Devito)

The question that everyone seems to want to ask of God is “why me?” Your heavenly Father chooses sometimes to provide with ideas to that question, and other times He chooses to remain silent.  Think about this: “If I were to say, 'God, why me?' about the bad things, then I should have said, 'God, why me?' about the good things that happened in my life.”[i]

God is under no obligation to let any of us know why He chooses to do whatever He allows in our life (even if we would like that). "God has a reason for allowing things to happen. We may never understand his wisdom but we simply have to trust his will."[ii] “Life is full of challenges, but these challenges are only given to you because God knows your faith is strong enough to get you through them.”[iii] God knows the lesson He needs to teach you with anything He brings your way. Are you willing to learn it the first time (or will it take several painful divine lessons to finally get it).

Psalm 37:5 (TLB) says: Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him to help you do it, and he will. Since you have little control over many of the things that happen in your life, allow your heavenly Father that can control it all to take over. God’s purpose will happen so why fight against it? Life is much easier when you are more flexible with the divine reasoning of life. There is no doubt that God can (and will) use you. Are you willing to be used no matter what He needs to do to prepare you for that? [iv]
