Whatever

"Whatever I will become will be what God has chosen for me. “ (Elvis Presley)

From Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to God’s chosen people who are away from their homes. You are scattered all around Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia. God the Father planned long ago to choose you by making you his holy people. Making you holy is the Spirit’s work. God wanted you to obey him and to be made clean by the blood of the death of Jesus Christ. Grace and peace be yours more and more (1 Peter 1:1,-ICB)

All three members of the trinity (God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit) play a role into bringing us into the Kingdom of Heaven.

1.     God the Father chooses us.

In Christ, He chose us before the world was made. In His love He chose us to be His holy people—people without blame before Him. And before the world was made, God decided to make us His own children through Jesus Christ. That was what He wanted and what pleased Him. (Ephesians 1:4-5, ICB) See 1 Peter 1:1 above.

2.     God the Holy Spirit changes us.

See 1 Peter 1:2 above.

3.     God the Son cleanses us.

See 1 Peter 1:2 above.

“If there is one single molecule in this universe running around loose, totally free of God’s sovereignty, then we have no guarantee that a single promise of God will ever be fulfilled.” (R. C. Sproul) [i]
