The Storm

“No matter what storm you face, you need to know that God loves you. He has not abandoned you. “(Franklin Graham))

Today’s society evaluates success on a man-made scale. It weighs unimportant things.  God evaluates on a Heavenly scale. It weighs only thing that matte like the heart. The Heavenly Father does not consider our outward appearance, but looks directly at the heart ( I Samuel 16:7). God doesn’t judge our lives based on who we try to be; He judges our lives based on who we truly are. God loves us even despite our tangled ways.

God knows our bad habits, and the things we struggle with. He knows the worst about us, but He chooses to concentrate on the best about us. He gives us grace to cover all our sin. No matter what we’ve done, there is nothing that that can make Him love us less. Ryan Stevenson’s song,   “No Matter What,” might express exactly what needs to be spoken in your life right now:
Bottom of Form

[Verse 1]
A lot of us grew up believing
At any moment we could lose it all
And at the drop of a hat
God might turn His back and move on
A lot of us feel like we blew it
Thinking that we're just too far gone
But I want you to know
There's still a hope for you now

[Chorus 1]
No matter what you've done
You can't erase His love
Nothing can change it
You're not separated
No matter what

[Verse 2]
There's never been a better time to get honest
There's never been a better time to get clean
So come as you are
Run to the cross and be free

[Chorus 2]
No matter what you've done
You can't erase His love
Nothing can change it
You're not separated
No matter where you run
He's always holding on
You're still a daughter, You're still a son
No matter what

[Bridge]
Don't know what you've been taught
Don't know what you’ve been told
All I know is my God
Will never let go of you
And I don't know what you've seen
Don't know what you've been through
All I know is my God
Will never let go of you
He'll never let go!

How does our Heavenly Father love us in the midst of our imperfections?

1.   God knows your  details God created us so He knows all about us.  He knows the tiny details we can’t even dream of knowing about each one of you.  He is never confused about our identity. Here are some details God know about you: God knows when you sit down and when you rise up.

God knows your going out and your lying down.  God is familiar with all your ways. God knows your words before you speak them. God protects you and provides for you. God knows you inside and out.

2.   God knows your needs God knows your need, and He will meet it in His timing (if that is His will).

3.   God sees your daily schedule Some days, what I really need is simply for someone to notice what I did that day.  I want to know it mattered to someone. How about you?  Do you ever just think:  “What’s the point?  No one will notice anyway.” Your Heavenly Father sees and notices.

4.   God sees your struggles His love for you causes him to incline his ear to hear your prayers.  He knows when you are hurting.  If you are facing sorrow, I want you to know that he notices.  You are not alone in your grief.  There is not a tear I’ve cried that he hasn’t kept track of, and he answers when I call because he listens to his people.

5.   He knows us personally Your Heavenly Father pays attention to you. He is the God of the entire universe that knows the exact number of hairs on your head as well as the number of stars in the sky. If God pays close enough attention to you to know the number of hairs on your head, what do you think he will miss?

“God loves you simply because He has chosen to do so. He loves you when you don't feel lovely. He loves you when no one else loves you. Others may abandon you, divorce you, and ignore you, but God will love you always no matter what.” (Max Lucado) [i]
