Jesus Owns You
A high price has been
paid for your freedom; so don’t devalue
God’s investment by becoming a slave to people. (1 Corinthians 7:23, VOICE)
Your comfort in life is not
is not about belonging to a…
Place:
14 When people accept something like that, they show they are
waiting for a country that will be their own. 15 If they were
thinking about the country they had left, they could have gone back. 16 But
they were waiting for a better country—a heavenly country. So God is not
ashamed to be called their God. And he has prepared a city for them. (Hebrews 11:14-16, ERV)
People:
24 Faith enabled Moses to choose God’s will, for although he
was raised as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, he refused to make that his
identity, 25 choosing instead to suffer mistreatment with the
people of God. Moses preferred faith’s certainty above the momentary enjoyment
of sin’s pleasures. (Hebrews 11:24-25, TPT)
Persona (character):
We do not remember
those people and events of long
ago, as future generations will not remember what is yet to come. (Ecclesiastes 1:11, VOICE)
Your comfort in life is
about belonging to His…
Presence:
Don’t you
realize that together you have become God’s inner sanctuary and that the Spirit
of God makes his permanent home in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16, TPT)
Purpose:
5 And before the world was made, God decided to make us His
own children through Jesus Christ. That was what he wanted and what pleased
him. 6 This brings praise to God because of his wonderful
grace. God gave that grace to us freely, in Christ, the One He loves. (Ephesians 1:5-6, ICB)
You say I am loved
when I can't feel a thing
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
And You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don't belong, You say I am Yours
I believe what You say of me, I believe (Chorus of song, “You Say,” by Lauren Daigle)
You say I am strong when I think I am weak
And You say I am held when I am falling short
When I don't belong, You say I am Yours
I believe what You say of me, I believe (Chorus of song, “You Say,” by Lauren Daigle)
God uses ordinary people to do
extraordinary things (not the other way around).
Do you want to leave a legacy of God
or yourself one day when you are dead?
We are tools in God’s tool chest of
life. We can all glorify God in our own unique ways. (To glorify God is the purpose
for your existence.)
Eternal comfort rests with your
heavenly Father (not you).[i]
